Every year my family goes to Florida. I flew from Dallas to Florida and we stayed at our condo (my dad and I). My favorite thing to do is watch the trees grow every year in Florida. They are very beautiful. My dad and I went on Segway tours and learned all about the wildlife in Florida. One thing I learned is that the Native Americans in Florida use the Spanish moss to weave clothing. I had fun in Florida. -Brazilian President, Lula de Silva in reaction to environmental activists James Cameron and @yogiSTING Sting protesting a new hydroeletric dam that is being built in the Amazon rain forest. (Associated Press, June 22, 2010).

The rain forests belong to all of humanity not just the Brazilians. It is quite possible that the cure for cancer may be discovered in the rain forests.  Of course the rain forests and the oceans sequester 20% of planet’s greenhouse gasses.
